We are coming up on St. Patrick’s day which has become synonymous with beer. So today, let’s talk about alcohol and the microbiome!

Beer has two major things going for it. For one thing, it is a fermented food. Beer, wine, and cider are all fermented. They don’t contain probiotics, but they do contain phenolics, and we know phenolics have an impact on the microbiome.
