Mary Phillips, PhD

Science Advisor

Dr. Phillips earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of Durham and a Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, with an emphasis in studying the photophysics of phthalocyanine compounds as photosensitizers for the photodynamic treatment of cancer. Trained as a physical chemist, a USPTO registered patent agent, Dr. Phillips supports sustainable futures in human health, overall wellbeing, and the planet. She has 25 plus years of experience working in biomedicine and serves as a mentor for the Oregon State University Accelerator, a leader for the 500 Women Scientists organization. Dr. Phillips was also previously a mentor for an NSF I-Corp Team.
